Out of the above readings from command sensor and cat /proc/cpuinfo, I am not sure which is exactly my cpu temperature in the output of sensors and what is the one to one relation between the output of both the commands (ie: which field (ie:output of sensor) matches with the field of cat /proc/cpuinfo). The overall goal is keeping the processor below its specified maximum case temperature. Planned Phenom II models are quad-core Phenom II 975 BE, operating at remarkable for K10 microarchitecture 3.6 GHz, and six-core 1065T and 1100T microprocessors. Model name : AMD A8-4500M APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics Nov 17, 2010: As you may be aware, AMD is planning to introduce several Phenom II and Athlon II processors in the 4th quarter 2010. The output of the cat /proc/cpuinfo is: processor : 0 I have installed lm-sensors to detect the temperature and below is the output of the command sensor: :# sensors At first I thought that CPU shows the sum of the 4 core temps, but definitely this is not the case. When I stress the CPU, the core temps rise but the CPU temp stays fixed at 128 degrees. The socket is Socket FP5 and the Max TDP is 15.0W. While the cores are about 30 degrees C each, the CPU temperature reads 128 degrees C. Measure the CPU temperature of my Linux Box. Temperature 1 75 degC (167 degF) (Core 1) Clock Speed 0 3005.74 MHz (Core 0).
